First images of the SCOTT Spark on which Vincenzo Nibali will race the Cape Epic 2023
Italian Vincenzo Nibali retired from professional road cycling last season and that will allow him to try new races and experiences in the coming years. The first of them will be the next Absa Cape Epic 2023 and he will do it with fellow cyclist Ivan Santaromita and on a SCOTT SPARK with which he has already had some contact.
Vincenzo Nibali will race the Cape Epic 2023 on a SCOTT SPARK
After his retirement, Nibali announced that he was joining the new Q36.5 team as a technical advisor and SCOTT ambassador. As a result of that collaboration we got to see in detail the Foil RC Ultimate that he will ride on the road this year and now we have seen him on the new SCOTT SPARK that he will be riding at the Cape Epic.

The first images are from the first biomechanics study in which Nibali chose the best combination of saddle and handlebar set, but you can see that the Spark sports the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team's gray colors with yellow accents and is set up with virtually the same components as the SCOTT SRAM.
RockShox suspension with Reverb electronic dropper post, complete SRAM Eagle AXS groupset and Syncros components including Silverton SL2 wheels with 30mm internal width and made entirely of one-piece carbon.
In a few days, the Absa Cape Epic starts on March 19th, we will see if this is the definitive set-up or if it bets for example for less rigid and more comfortable wheels like the Syncros Silverton 1.0 S with aluminum spokes that gave so much to talk about last year in this same race.
