New BMC Fourstroke 2023 spotted at Les Gets
The BMC website announces that a new full mountain bike model will be presented on 5 October, but we have already been able to see it in action at the Les Gets World Championships and everything suggests that we are looking at the BMC Fourstroke 2023. In what looks like a radical change, it will have a new frame, geometry, aesthetic change and integrated seat post, among other new features.
BMC Fourstroke 2023 or a new model?
Frenchman Titouan Carod and Swiss Filippo Colombo are training with this new BMC model and it will be the one they will race with in the Short Track on Friday and the XCO race on Sunday. Taking into account that we are talking about two of the great favourites to stand on the podium of a World Championship, it seems that BMC has wanted to start giving visibility to this new full MTB and that it would be a final version of the model.
The most significant change is the position of the rear shock, which in this supposed Fourstroke 2023 is now horizontal, leaving space to mount two bottle cages, although it could also be a solution to improve stiffness or lightness values.
The integrated BMC Rad dropper seat post, in this model, has an anodized aluminium look in what could be a different version to the current one.

In addition, this BMC Fourstroke also features SRAM's new prototype hangerless rear derailleur, which is mounted directly to the frame.
At the moment this is all the information we can extract from this model. The Swiss brand BMC is known for being at the forefront of mountain bike construction and innovation, so the new Fourstroke could set some future standards.
Here you can take a look at the BMC Fourstroke that Tom Pidcock chose to race in MTB this season and last season and on which he rides an, as yet unpublished, electronic suspension from SR Suntour.
