Van der Poel changes his cyclocross season and will start next week: "I feel ready"
The cyclocross calendar of Van der Poel for the 2023-24 season was scheduled to start on December 22nd at the Exact Cross in Mol, but after a good training block in Spain, the Dutchman has decided to bring it forward to December 16th in Herentals where he will face Tom Pidcock.

Cyclocross fans are in luck. The current world champion Mathieu van der Poel has announced that he will advance his cyclocross debut to December 16th at the X20 Trophy Herentals. A test that is expected to be of a high level as it has also been chosen by the British Tom Pidcock to start his mud season.
"I have trained well here in Spain and I feel ready to start in X2O Trofee Herentals. An extra competition hour ahead of the busy Christmas period can only be positive," Van der Poel stated on the Alpecin-Deceuninck's social networks.
