Cyclocross fans are in luck. The current world champion Mathieu van der Poel has announced that he will advance his cyclocross debut to December 16th at the X20 Trophy Herentals. A test that is expected to be of a high level as it has also been chosen by the British Tom Pidcock to start his mud season.

"I have trained well here in Spain and I feel ready to start in X2O Trofee Herentals. An extra competition hour ahead of the busy Christmas period can only be positive," Van der Poel stated on the Alpecin-Deceuninck's social networks.

The third of the "Three Magnificents", Van Aert, started his season yesterday in Essen with a resounding victory and it will not be until December 22nd when we see, in Mol, the first face to face between Van Aert and Van der Poel. It will be a day later, on December 23rd in Gavere when for the first time we see the three compete in the same test.
