Trek offers a glimpse of its new 32-inch hardtail and an all-new Fox 34 fork
Trek is no longer limited to testing its 32-inch wheels at the World Cup. The brand has brought a new carbon hardtail, apparently a future Procaliber, to a cycling event in Wisconsin. The photographs show a bike very advanced in its development, it seems definitive, and allow it to be linked to the leaks of its upcoming catalog that began circulating during the summer.
The new Trek Procaliber 32 appears with a competition setup
Last weekend, Trek took advantage of the NICA state championship, a MTB competition for students held in Waterloo (Wisconsin), to showcase two XC bikes with 32-inch wheels. One with dual suspension, which could be called Superfly, and another hardtail that, based on its design and previous information, all points to it being the new Procaliber.
Although various images are circulating in forums, such as Reddit, it has been the media Pinkbike that has echoed the news highlighting the advanced state of development of a bike that seems very close to its commercial configuration.
In addition to the bikes themselves, the most interesting aspect is that the Procaliber appears equipped with a Fox 34 specific for 32-inch wheels, a fork that has not yet been officially presented. This new fork model seems to use bottles developed specifically for the larger wheels. The crown also features a particular design, with shapes reminiscent of the Fox 32 Step-Cast.

Regarding the setup, the bike is equipped with a SRAM XX SL Transmission, Reverb AXS dropper post, and Maxxis Aspen tires. The wheels have no visible identifications and could be future Bontrager.
Another detail that stands out is the integrated Bontrager handlebar and stem. The stem appears to have a length greater than 100 mm and a very pronounced negative rise, while the handlebar rises towards the grips. A solution that helps compensate for some of the increased height of the front end caused by the 32-inch wheels.

The appearance of this hardtail represents another step in a project that we had previously seen mainly in dual suspension bikes. Trek first "leaked" its first 32-inch XC in June, when a bike of unusual proportions appeared in the documentary of its 50th anniversary. And in September came the confirmation with the debut of its new 32-inch dual suspension at the Soldier Hollow World Cup. On that occasion, Trek used an unprecedented RockShox SID Ultimate Flight Attendant, 32-inch Berd wheels, and Pirelli tires.
Now, the presence of a hardtail with a Fox fork demonstrates that the development of the 32 inches at Trek is not limited to that competition bike or a single suspension manufacturer.
The leaks point to a Procaliber 32 and a new Superfly
Although the photographs are new, the existence of a future 32-inch Procaliber is not so much. On July 30, the user Cloxxki posted on Reddit a leak from a European store that included images and references to two models: the Procaliber 32 9.5 and the Superfly 32 SLR 9.8.

The references appeared on the website of the Slovak store Najsport, although currently their links no longer allow consulting the original listings.

According to that information, the Procaliber 32 9.5 would maintain an OCLV carbon frame and an entry-level setup, with a dropper post and Maxxis Aspen tires. And it was mentioned that it would come in Laguna Blue and Deep Smoke colors. Something that seems to be on the right track since the new images of the Procaliber come in the same blue color.
The summer information also pointed out that Trek was preparing a wider range of 32 inches than expected, with different setups and a dual suspension called Superfly 32. This last name has not yet been officially confirmed by the brand.
