Specialized Turbo Levo 2021: price, weight and models
The most famous and powerful of the Specialized electric mountain bikes introduced its 2021 edition with some significant new features. We analyzed the e-MTB in detail, its novelties and its composition and price options.
Specialized Turbo Levo 2021: two new features above all
When a new bicycle is presented, there is always the eternal dilemma: there are constantly modifications, but do these represent a considerable improvement, a significant change from previous models? Well, judge for yourself, but the fact is that the 2021 Specialized Turbo Levo came with a longer front travel and a 12-speed gearbox as its main new features.

Let's focus on speeds first. The Specialized Turbo Levo 2021 has a SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS in its S-Works model which has 12 crowns in the back and a single plate with 32 teeth. This is a little more than any previous model. As we say, small differences.
The second small difference lies in the travel of its fork. The same top-of-the-range model opts for a 160mm Fox, which is 10mm more than its predecessor, the Turbo Levo 2020, which was fitted with 150mm. We insist: small improvements.
Because, for the rest, the changes are very subtle. Perhaps the most important of these minor issues is the greater efficiency of this power-battery ratio (700Wh, which increases autonomy by 40% compared to the previous model; and 565 watts of peak power). Own engine, do not forget.
However, as we mentioned yesterday, the price of Specialized bikes has risen in the last few days. We don't know why, but the truth is that prices have risen even though they have been on a more controlled price trend in recent months.
All details and the 2021 Specialized Turbo Levo collection
In addition to this price increase, the trend of the Turbo Levo SL has been to reduce the weight so much that it looks like a mountain bike without an engine. The Orbea Rise, which we recently analysed also here at Brújula Bike, follows this trend imposed by Specialized and based on the idea that the cyclist is looking for a lighter and more manageable electric mountain bike, in order to improve the riding experience.
This Specialized Turbo Levo 2021 has up to 5 hours of autonomy after 4 hours of charging. All this is controllable from the brand's application, the Mission Control, perfect for always keeping power and endurance settings in mind and calibrating everything well so you don't get left behind.
29" wheels, Magura MT7 brakes or RockShox Reverb AXS telescopic seat post complete the set.
