Some of the new 2023 kits for road teams
As soon as the year had ended, in something that has become a tradition, the social networks were filled with cyclists showing the colors of their new teams and others, such as Movistar that until that moment, due to the change of supplier of their garments, had not been able to show the jersey that they will wear in the campaign that will begin in just a couple of weeks.
The peloton is already wearing its new colors
Changes of team riders, teams that have changed their colors or the design of their jerseys... the first races of each season are usually crazy for those of us who follow cycling.
The brain internalizes the colors of the different squads and their association with each rider in a mental mechanism that helps you to recognize more easily who is each rider in the peloton or who is making a move at a certain point in the race.

Fortunately, for 2023, most teams have maintained a similar aesthetic. Perhaps the most notable change has been that of INEOS Grenadiers, which raised some controversy because of the similarity of its jersey with that of Bahrain-Victorious. Here you can see the new skin that the best cyclists in the world will wear as we count down the days until the arrival of the new season.
Movistar Team
Change of supplier at Movistar, whose garments are now manufactured by the Murcian firm Gobik after the end of their collaboration with UAE Team Emirates.
Gobik has presented a continuist design for Movistar Team, where the corporate blue continues to predominate. Only a few subtle gradients have been added towards the light blue tone also used by the telecommunications company, a color that in 2022 was used in the logos, which are now white.
One of the first to show this new jersey was the one who has been its most mediatic signing for this new season, the Colombian Fernando Gaviria, who will try to revive old laurels after several gray seasons.
Uno de los primeros en mostrar este nuevo maillot fue el que ha sido su fichaje más mediático para esta nueva temporada, el colombiano Fernando Gaviria, who will try to shine again after several gray seasons of this team.
INEOS Grenadiers
Presented several weeks ago, there was even speculation in some circles that the UCI might even reject the new colors of the British squad because of their obvious resemblance to the Bahrain-Victorious kit. Red and orange now define the INEOS Grenadiers after a history of dark colors and sober designs.
On the other hand, it is worth mentioning that Bioracer continues to be the technical sponsor in charge of making the garments, having made an extra effort to improve the training and winter use garments to provide greater insulation and comfort to the cyclists.
Soudal-QuickStep
Change of name for Patrick Levefere's team, which, together with Alpecin, is taking over from Lotto, the other main Belgian teams, after the latter dropped to the Pro Tour, which was one of its main sponsors.
Difficult integration between the blue and white tones associated with the pallet manufacturer and that of Soudal, dedicated to the production of lubricants, whose corporate image includes red. A challenge that Castelli's designers have been able to solve in a very coherent way, creating a kit that will surely be easily recognizable.
EF Education-EasyPost
After the eye-catching print they wore for 2022, EF Education-EasyPost is returning to a more sober design, practically identical to the pink that the North American squad used a couple of seasons ago.
In the absence of an official announcement from the team, we could see the new colors on the back of one of its main signings. Andrey Amador published a post on his Instagram account when he was about to start his first training session of the year, dressed in EF Education-EasyPost clothing.
Groupama-FDJ
Total change of design in Groupama-FDJ that leaves behind that design inspired by the colors of the French flag and that we had so internalized to move, like other squads, to navy blue.
A sober design created by the Italian brand Ale that only plays with spaces delimited in two shades of blue in which only the logos of the two main sponsors stand out with that of its bike supplier, Lapierre, in the background occupying a small place on the chest and on the sleeves.
Jayco-AlUla
The Australian team will have a new name in 2023, with BikeExchange dropping its sponsorship and Jayco, a manufacturer of recreational vehicles, and AlUla, one of the main tourist destinations in Saudi Arabia, becoming the main sponsors of the GreenEDGE Cycling structure.
However, there is still a similarity with last season's design, maintaining the gradient in blue tones but with the white color taking much more space in the upper part. Small differences with the colors of the women's squad that adds a subtle gradient and flashes in fuchsia.
Cofidis
The general design that was used for the first time last season is maintained, with a groundbreaking layout that placed the main sponsor vertically.
These garments are made by Decathlon and in which the corporate red color now occupies the entire chest, reserving white for little more than the sleeves and collar. The weave of the red surface is also deepened, with subtle gradients that add volume to the design of the jersey.
Israel-PremierTech
New era for Israel-PremierTech after its relegation to the Pro Tour. Nothing better to start with a clean slate than to give a complete turn to the image of the team, abandoning the flat design in which white was predominant to opt for the fashionable color, blue that is combined by gradients with touches of pink and white.
Lotto-Dstny
After his departure from the World Tour and losing the sponsorship of Soudal, Dstny takes over the Belgian squad that does not complicate life when designing the jersey. From the middle up, the part corresponding to Lotto, remains the same as we knew, changing the lower half that becomes light blue corresponding to the new sponsor.
In the rest of the teams there are no notable differences in the designs of their jerseys, apart from some changes of sponsors as in the case of Jumbo-Visma where only the appearance of the SRAM logos reveal that this is the jersey for 2023.
