At Cube, they have introduced three wonders for the new season. Three bikes in one single hit under the Cube AMS umbrella: Cube Stereo One77, Cube Zero99 and Cube ONE11.

All of them have improved features, but the carbon frames in particular have a noticeable detail that stands out: the thermoformed frame tubes are thinner. You can see it at a glance. In this way, with a stronger construction of the carbon fibres and their blades, they manage to reduce the weight. But there is more. We take a look at them one by one and analyse the new 2022 season of Cube mountain bikes, which follows in the footsteps of other manufacturers in presenting everything for the next season as early as August.

Cube AMS ZERO99C

Cube's first mountain bike for 2022 is the ZERO99C. Cube XC gains in variety and quality with a two models. This first one, as we say, is the purest cross-country. Above all because of its geometry, a full suspension with a much more balanced steering angle that can be changed by more than one degree, and very short rear stays, only 437mm. Handling is encouraged, of course.

The Cube AMS ZERO99C has 100mm of travel both front and rear on a full carbon frame. It pivots at three points at the rear, at a horst pivot, at two linkages that go to the shock, and at the point in contact with the bottom bracket.

However, this does not affect its weight, which is 1650 grams for the frame, just over 9.7 kilos for the bike mounted on SRAM X01 Eagle, Magura MT8 SL brakes and Newmen carbon wheels. Price: 5099€.

Cube AMS ONE11 C

We can't say that there's much difference between the frame of the ZERO99 and this Cube ONE11 because we're talking about details. On the same frame, Cube has mounted chainstays with a wider rear width to be able to mount wider wheels.

Otherwise, the frame is the same, made of the same carbon, and the suspension is once again pure XC. On this occasion, they opt for Fox: a Fox 34 Step Cast 120mm front; and the same rear, but with 110mm. The rest is made up of Maxxis Recon tyres, Newmen Evolution rims, Fox Trransfer seatpost and the rest is by Shimano, both the drivetrain, a Shimano XT, and the brakes, also XT.

The final weight is 11.5 kilos and the price is 4599€.

Cube Stereo One77

The latest in this range is the Cube Stereo One77. This full suspension bike from Cube has a vertical rear shock that rests at the apex of the bottom bracket. This frame design also features a shortened, lowered seat tube, which is permissible because the dropper seatpost is a reality and does the rest.

But that rear shock absorber point is the most notable. In fact, it's configurable. It allows two different mounting options, mechanically altering the progressivity to your preference so that it's easier to fine tune later. By default, it mounts an air shock, but there is also a spring shock version.

Quite enduro, the Cube Stereo One77 has 170 millimetre RockShox spring travel, Zeb Ultimate at the front, SuperDeluxe Ultimate at the rear. On this frame which is made of aluminium. The rest of the cocktail is made up of Newmen Evolution SL A wheels, a Shimano XT from top to bottom. Its weight of 15.4 kilos fits a retail price of 3599€.
