H&M joins the cycling trend with a specific collection
H&M enters the cycling world with the launch of a collection that includes shorts, vest, and jersey. The brand has introduced several sets and individual garments that share the DryMove fabric to absorb sweat. The goal is to enter the market and establish itself as a quality option with affordable prices.
H&M bets on cycling: the collection from one of the fashion giants
The cycling industry is going through turbulent times. Uncertainty has taken over most manufacturers after the boom experienced during the pandemic. Some clothing brands have also felt the market's impact and have been forced to take measures, as Rapha announced just over a month ago. However, there are always exceptions -like the case of Colnago- that defy logic with an appearance that shakes up the current market status quo.

H&M lands in cycling with a specific collection. The Swedish company opened its first store in 1947 and now belongs to the H&M Group - which includes eleven different brands - as one of the most recognized fashion brands in the world with 143,000 employees and over 4,000 stores.
The cycling collection is part of a broader project called H&M Move that was launched less than two years ago. The initiative aims to expand the sport with specific garments at affordable prices, although in this collection, the products cover higher price ranges.
The collection consists of several models available in sizes from XS to 2XL - for both men and women - and has been created in partnership with Grand Studio studios, specialized in outdoor sports clothing that has worked with other major brands. H&M explains that this collaboration ensures that the "functional considerations of a cyclist are taken into account and incorporated."
The most outstanding garments are a jersey, bib shorts, and a waterproof vest all made with DryMove fabric, designed to absorb sweat and keep the cyclist's skin dry. The bib shorts - made of elastane and nylon - are offered in green or black, come with a polystyrene foam, and are the highlight of the collection with a price tag of 84.99 euros.
The other members of the family are the vest - available in green or black for 59.99 euros -, the jersey - available in white, black, or black with brown sleeves for 52.99 euros -, and the sleeveless bib shorts - available for 74.99 euros only in black.
The most affordable products - like leggings for 4.99 euros -, although intended for cycling, are outside the collection.
The bib shorts come with pockets, high waist, and a specific pad for men and another for women, in order to adapt to the anatomical characteristics of each. Meanwhile, the jersey has a breathable mesh on the back, three rear pockets, and a subtle reflector on the sleeves.
