First images of a Cannondale Scalpel 2024?
The drip of clues that brands offer nowadays when they are preparing to present something new is so evident that more than rumors, they are simply confirmations. It's Cannondale's turn now, and it seems that their new Scalpel 2024 is just a few hours away from being unveiled.
First images of the new Cannondale Scalpel 2024
The current version of the Cannondale Scalpel was introduced in 2021, and if we consider the 4-year cycles in which brands used to align their updates with the Olympic years, 2020 was an exception due to the pandemic. Everything pointed to the brand needing to present an updated model this year.
This was confirmed during the recent Absa Cape Epic where we saw Mona Mitterwallner and Candice Lill competing with what is clearly a different Scalpel model than the current one, but the brand itself subtly confirmed it on their social media with a suggestive post.
From what can be gathered from the images, it seems that Cannondale's flagship model for XCO will continue with its current version, but changes in the frame lines can be appreciated, and it would be easy to bet on a new geometry.

In 2021, the current Scalpel was introduced with its Flexpivot rear suspension system as a major revolution, something that will be maintained based on the images. In the following years, it received an update with its 120mm SE version in the fork while keeping the 110mm in the rear.
After Cannondale's latest post, it wouldn't be surprising if we had more information about it in the coming days.
