Final version of the new SRAM controller seen in competition: two buttons and more adjustable than ever before
A couple of days ago we brought you an exclusive detailed view of the new SRAM groupset (rear derailleur, brakes and crankset) that Victor Koretzky is using on his S-Works Epic 2023, but the truth is that the Frenchman did not include the new SRAM AXS controller, which now seems to be definitive.
New SRAM AXS shift lever
We could already see this shifter in its prototype version and in a glimpse in some images of Nino Schurter but now it seems to be the final version before its presentation. We were able to photograph it on Luca Braidot's Santa Cruz and it will be part of the new complete groupset that includes the rear derailleur anchored directly to the frame.
As can be seen, the new controller now has two distinct buttons instead of the current switch-like surface and offers millimetric adjustment thanks to two screws that allow the distance and angle of the controller to be modified. The truth is that the previous version looks more stylish than this one, but its evolution seems more ergonomic.
Remember that this season, the Santa Cruz team carries the RockShox name and will be one of the official SRAM teams, so we will have to follow it closely to try to catch new prototypes or components.
