Evie Richards will miss Nove Mesto to continue recovering from the concussion

This week the Nove Mesto 2024 XCC/XCO World Cup will be celebrated, it will be the first European event of the competition this season and it is expected that the top favorites in each category will be present. But there will also be important absences. British rider Evie Richards has already confirmed that she will not be there.

Evie Richards continues her recovery from the concussion suffered in Brazil

During the Araxá World Cup in Brazil, Evie Richards suffered a fall apparently without consequences. Upon her return to the United Kingdom, she discovered that she was experiencing symptoms of a concussion and began her recovery. 

Now, a few weeks later, she has announced that her recovery is still ongoing and she will not be able to participate in the Nove Mesto World Cup, her favorite race:

Nove Mesto, my favorite race of the year, a race where I was determined to be on the top step of the podium after what happened last year, but things change and unfortunately I will also miss this race. Athletes focus and work hard to return to the podium, something that doesn't work with a concussion. So by trying to be back for this race I think I slowed down my recovery and now I am learning I just need to listen to my body and be patient.
