Everything you could ask for from an eMTB is packed into this Megamo Reason CRB 00
The Megamo Reason 2027 arrived a few months ago with a deep update featuring the new Avinox M2S motor and a truly extensive range. But among its 17 builds, there is one that clearly stands out above all the others. The Megamo Reason CRB 00 represents the highest level of equipment in this generation and now also debuts the spectacular Amber Brown finish.
Megamo Reason CRB 00: an eMTB with the best from Fox, SRAM, and DT Swiss
When Megamo presented the new Reason 2027 range, we already saw that the brand had divided the family mainly between the 160 mm Reason, with a more aggressive character, and the 140 mm Reason Air, lighter and more versatile.

In fact, we have already been able to thoroughly test the Megamo Reason Air CRB 00, the top of the range in that segment, but above it still remains this Reason CRB 00, the most exclusive build in the entire family.

And now Megamo has given it even more prominence with the new Amber Brown finish, a warm brown tone that significantly changes its aesthetics and accompanies one of the most technological builds currently available in an eMTB.

The Fox Podium is one of its main highlights
The fork is probably the component that first catches the eye. The Reason CRB 00 is equipped with a Fox 36 Podium Factory 160 mm, the spectacular inverted fork that Fox developed specifically for eMTB and which has become one of the most exclusive suspensions in its catalog.

Its inverted architecture aims to increase torsional stiffness and reduce flex when the fork works under high loads, with the goal of achieving more precise steering on technical terrain. It also features independent high and low-speed compression and rebound adjustments.
At the rear, the technological level even increases with a Fox Float X2 Live Valve Neo 210x55 mm. The electronic system constantly analyzes what happens on the ground and automatically modifies the behavior of the shock in milliseconds.

The Fox electronic ecosystem is completed with the Fox Transfer Neo dropper post, featuring wireless actuation and no mechanical cable.
SRAM XX Eagle AXS and Maven Ultimate
The transmission also leaves little room for improvement. Megamo has opted for the SRAM XX Eagle AXS T-Type 12-speed, completely wireless and accompanied by SRAM XX cranks of 165 mm with a 36-tooth chainring optimized to work with the Avinox system.

To stop an eMTB of these capabilities, the Reason CRB 00 mounts SRAM Maven Ultimate brakes accompanied by large diameter Galfer Shark discs: 223 mm in front and 203 mm in the rear.
The wheels are another strong point of the build, featuring DT Swiss HXC 1200 carbon fitted with Maxxis Assegai tires in front and Minion DHR II in the rear, both with Double Down casing, a combination clearly aimed at withstanding aggressive use.
Avinox M2S: 150 Nm and 800 Wh battery
Everything is built around the Reason Full Carbon frame and the Avinox M2S system, one of the main innovations introduced with this generation.
The compact 2.6 kg motor delivers 130 Nm of continuous maximum torque and reaches 150 Nm in Boost mode, while the peak power goes up to 1,300 W. The power supply is provided by an integrated 800 Wh battery, with which Megamo claims up to 157 km of autonomy under certain conditions.

The bike also incorporates the 2-inch integrated Avinox OLED touchscreen on the top tube and the wireless controls of the system. Through the Avinox app, it is possible to configure assistance, check operating and ride data, or access various safety and connectivity functions.
Adjustable geometry and 160 mm to tackle the most challenging trails
Compared to the more Trail-oriented character of the Reason Air, this CRB 00 clearly bets on the more aggressive side of the platform. It features 160 mm of travel front and rear and a Flip Chip system that allows for geometry modification.
In its highest travel configuration, it can set the head angle at 63.5°, accompanied by an effective seat angle of 77°, figures that clearly indicate its intentions when the terrain gets tough.
Megamo has also introduced a new XL size in this generation, aimed at cyclists approximately 185 to 205 cm tall, with a 514 mm reach.
With the new Amber Brown, the Megamo Reason CRB 00 now gains an even more distinctive image within a huge range. But what is truly striking is the combination of the best electric system of the moment, a cutting-edge eMTB frame, and a luxury build: Fox Podium, Live Valve Neo electronic suspensions, SRAM XX Eagle AXS, Maven Ultimate, DT Swiss carbon wheels, and the powerful Avinox M2S. All of this also explains why we are facing the most expensive and exclusive Reason in the range, with a retail price of 13,999 €.
