The Megamo West 2027 launches a new range and colors
The Megamo West faces the 2027 season with a color refresh, but without changes to the formula that has made this model one of the most successful gravel bikes and that has garnered the most attention in recent years. The Spanish brand updates the aesthetics of its most versatile bike while maintaining the same carbon frame, a geometry aimed at combining comfort and stability, and a range starting at 2,399 euros.

The Megamo West debuts new colors for 2027 and maintains its gravel formula for everything
Megamo has decided not to deeply modify a bike that has managed to find its own space within an increasingly specialized gravel market. Unlike models designed exclusively for competition or bikes focused almost entirely on bikepacking and adventure, the West tries to maintain a middle ground.

New colors for a Megamo West that maintains its winning formula
The main novelty of the Megamo West MY27 lies in its new finishes. The range debuts colors for the 2027 season while maintaining the platform we already knew.
All versions use the same set of carbon frame and fork and feature clearance for tires up to 50 mm.

In fact, Megamo has opted to equip the entire range with Vittoria Terreno T50 tires of 50 mm, a considerable size for a gravel bike that allows for lower pressures, increased grip on uneven terrain, and improved comfort.
The weight of the range starts at 8.6 kg, a figure that also allows the West to move away from the concept of a heavy gravel bike solely intended for adventure.
A geometry designed to find balance
A good part of the character of the Megamo West lies in its geometry. The bottom bracket is positioned at 75 and 77 mm depending on the size, a figure that allows for a lower center of gravity and improves the feeling of stability on loose terrain and during descents.

The head angle varies between 69.5 and 70.5 degrees, while the stack to reach ratio remains around 1.6. The result is a more upright and relaxed position than that of a gravel bike designed exclusively for competition.

But Megamo has tried to ensure that this pursuit of comfort does not turn the West into a slow-reacting bike.
The chainstays maintain a length of 430 mm across all sizes, while the wheelbase varies between 1,031 and 1,086 mm. The combination seeks to preserve good acceleration capability and agility without compromising stability.

A gravel bike for traveling, but also for competing
Although bikepacking and long distances are part of the West's DNA, Megamo insists that its most versatile gravel bike has not been designed solely for travel.
The bike features integrated storage in the frame to carry tools or a spare tube and has numerous attachment points.
The fork incorporates three threaded holes on each side to install racks, bottle cages, or cargo cages, while the frame adds more possibilities for carrying gear.

In the higher versions, a 27.2 mm carbon seatpost is also installed, designed to offer some flex and increase comfort during longer rides.
But the West also wants to prove that it can compete. Sarah Diekmeyer, a rider for Megamo Gravel Racing, will use this model to compete in The Rift in Iceland, one of the most demanding gravel events on the calendar.
Megamo West 2027: five builds from 2,399 to 5,999 euros
The Megamo West MY27 range shares a carbon frame and fork, integrated storage, bikepacking compatibility, and Vittoria Terreno T50 tires of 50 mm.
The differences are mainly found in the drivetrains, wheels, and components.

Megamo West and Silk, two different concepts of gravel
Within Megamo's catalog, the West occupies a clearly differentiated space compared to the Silk. The Silk represents the proposal more focused on gravel racing, with a more aggressive position and a more direct and demanding behavior. The West seeks to considerably expand the range of use.

Its position is more comfortable, its handling more stable, and it has greater possibilities for installing gear, but it maintains a contained weight and a geometry sufficiently agile for use in competition.
For 2027, Megamo did not want to change that recipe. The West debuts new colors but retains the main arguments that have made it one of the most versatile gravel bikes in its catalog: carbon frame, tires up to 50 mm, integrated storage, and a wide range of builds.
An update primarily aesthetic for a bike that continues to try to answer one of the most common questions among those looking for a gravel bike: whether it is really necessary to choose between competing, traveling, or simply riding fast.
