Valverde's brand new bike in the Giro
Alejandro Valverde is racing what will be his last Giro d'Italia and Canyon wanted to surprise the Spanish rider with a very special bike and very unique design that includes all his achievements.
Canyon Aeroad CFR: the weapon that will fire Alejandro's last bullet
The German company Canyon can't get enough of customizing bikes for its big stars. If last week they were forced to prepare one for Mathieu Van der Poel, now it's Alejandro Valverde's turn.

On the Canyon Aeroad CFR that the Spaniard usually rides, the Koblenz brand has created a simple and clean design: white background with the usual section covering the head tube and top tube painted in a very soft green.
You have to sharpen your eyes even more to go through the multiple inscriptions distributed around the frame and that collect the most important victories achieved by Valverde: 2018 World Championships in Innsbruck, his other World Championships medals, his victories in Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège, etc. A bike that will be the one he will use from today's stage until he finally takes off his last bib in October.
We remind you that the Aeroad CFR is Canyon's aerodynamic cut model thanks to its truncated profile tubes and details such as the small fairing at the base of the seat tube over the rear wheel.
In the case of Movistar, it relies on SRAM to fit both the groupset, a Red AXS eTap; and the wheels, Zipp 454 NSW, the most advanced of the North American firm, with a 58 mm profile and tubeless hookleess rim that allows them, despite their rim height, to maintain a light weight of 1,358 g per pair.
