MTB Calendar 2023: dates and venues for UCI World Cup and World Championships

After some modifications, the UCI presented the definitive MTB calendar for 2023 a few months ago. A calendar in which this year for the first time the main MTB modalities will be unified under the "World Cup" and that will start in just 3 weeks for the XCC and XCO. Here are all the dates and venues for each category.

Key points of the new MTB 2023 calendar

• For the first time a unified calendar is presented under the "World Cup".
• Warner Bros Discovery will be in charge of broadcasting all the races and appears to be behind this rearrangement of the calendar.
• In XCO, Brazil and Albstadt, Germany are lost, and now the venue of Valkenburg, Netherlands, which was going to be a novelty this year and seems to be moved to 2024, does not appear.
• The Enduro World Cup loses Whistler, USA, which was on the first calendar for 2023.
• The French Haute-Savoie region, in Les Gets, will be the venue for all disciplines from September 7 to 17.
• The XCO World Cup will finish later than ever before, ending in October.
• There will be Short Track (XCC) events also in the U23 category.
• The Downhill will have more TV time with the broadcasting of the semifinals.
• Enduro World Series (EWS) will become UCI Enduro World Cup (EDR) in 2023.
• The Cross-country Marathon (XCM) will also have its own UCI Mountain Bike World Cup from 2023 with four new venues on next year's calendar.
