Evie Richards' Trek Supercaliber Rainbow Edition
British rider Evie Richards is in the sweetest moment of her sporting career, just a couple of weeks ago she was proclaimed XCO Elite World Champion and a few days later she won her first World Cup in this category in Lenzerheide. At the age of 24, Richards arrives at the Snowshoe World Cup as the top favourite and she also has a brand new bike. It is a special edition of her Trek Supercaliber.
The Trek Supercaliber World Champion Edition of Evie Richards
We can place the Trek Supercaliber at the opposite end of the spectrum to the long travel mountain bikes that are now being proposed for modern XCO, but the fact is that both the Trek Supercaliber with 60 mm and the Scott Spark with 120 mm were enough for Evie Richards and Nino Schurter to win the recently celebrated World Championships. And with that in mind, let's take a closer look at this special edition.
At first glance, or in general images, Richards' new Supercaliber may appear to be a discreet white colour, but as soon as we get close enough to see it we discover that the white colour is permeated by thousands of shiny "shavings" that give the bike a special aura.
