Trek has just released American Homecoming, a documentary that follows Gwendalyn Gibson and Riley Amos during a season marked by the launch of their new 32-inch bikes at the World Cup. Trek sets date to reveal how it has developed its new 32-inch MTBs
Trek continues to unveil details of its XC project with 32-inch wheels. After several months of testing and its debut in competition, the American brand has just released American Homecoming, a documentary focused on the 2026 season of Gwendalyn Gibson and Riley Amos, two of the riders who have directly participated in the development of this new platform.
The video reviews the most important moments of both Americans, their struggles during the season, and the pressure of competing in front of their home crowd at the last World Cup events. The highlight comes in Soldier Hollow, where Gibson achieved her first elite podium in XCO by finishing second on the new 32-inch Trek.

That result was especially important for the brand, as it marked the first podium for its prototype at the World Cup. Riley Amos also competed with the new bike and finished eighth in the men's race, while Evie Richards was seventh among the women.

Trek will show on November 5 how it has developed its 32-inch bikes
Although American Homecoming has a primarily sports focus, the most interesting aspect for those following the technological evolution of MTB appears in the announcement accompanying the documentary.
Trek has confirmed that on November 5 it will showcase the development process of its XC bikes with 32-inch wheels through its YouTube and Instagram channels.

It will be an opportunity to learn more about a project that the brand has been working on for several years and that, until now, we have been able to piece together mainly through prototypes, competition images, and statements from its riders.
Trek showcased its first 32-inch full suspension in September and debuted it at the Soldier Hollow World Cup. More recently, it has also revealed a brand new 32-inch hardtail equipped with a new Fox 34 fork, confirming that its work is not limited to a single competition platform.
