Tom Pidcock changes his calendar, puts MTB on hold and moves to the road
In just two races British rider Tom Pidcock has become the real revelation of this MTB season, but we are facing one of those new "total" riders and his calendar differs a lot from the classics we were used to see so far.
Tom Pidcock makes changes to his MTB calendar and heads to the 2021 Tour de Suisse
It was difficult to see that in the middle of the season a MTB rider would decide to compete in other disciplines, even if he wasn't going to compete in them. But with the arrival of names like Pidcock and Van der Poel that has changed.

After winning the XCO World Cup in Nove Mesto, Tom Pidcock's roadmap indicated that his next stop would be the next World Cup in Leogang. But through his social networks he has just announced that he will skip that MTB event to return to road cycling at the Tour of Suisse, a WorldTour stage race to be held from 6 to 13 June.
"I’ve enjoyed a nice few days off in beautiful Yorkshire. Now back training! Next up Tour de Suisse and Les Gets World Cup!".
He will then return to the big wheels for the World Cup in Les Gets, France from 3 to 4 July. We guess this will be the British rider's last race before he flies to Tokyo to compete in the MTB race at the Olympic Games.
