The wind is shaking the island of Sardinia with force just a few hours before the third round of the Cyclocross World Cup is set to take place. The race could be canceled.

Official statement
Due to the strong wind storm affecting Cabras, Arutas and the rest of Sardinia, the decision has been taken to cancel the third round of the UCI Cyclocross World Cup. The local organizing committee, Flanders Classics, the municipality of Cabras, the UCI and the security services have agreed on this decision, as the safety of riders, staff, volunteers and the public could not be guaranteed.
