The 2027 MTB World Cup calendar is now official, with major changes in store
The organization of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series has officially announced the 2027 MTB World Cup calendar. The upcoming season will feature 10 events spread across eight countries and two continents, with eight Cross-country races and another eight Downhill races. Andorra will once again be one of the main highlights of a calendar that will kick off in May and conclude in October in North America.
2027 MTB World Cup Calendar with all dates, venues, and disciplines
The 2027 MTB World Cup already has confirmed dates and venues. The fifth season under the current format of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series will retain many of its most recognizable locations, recover some historic events, and reintroduce the North American venues that debuted in 2026.
One of the main features of the calendar will be the celebration of six joint events of XCO, XCC, and DH, while the two disciplines will have independent starts and finishes. Cross-country will open the competition in the Czech Republic and finish in the United States, while Downhill will start in France and have its last event in Canada.
Andorra remains, Val di Sole returns, and North America will decide the titles
After the unfortunate season opener in Korea this year, that venue has been removed from the calendar, and for 2027 the season will start from May 21 to 23 in Nové Město na Moravě, one of the usual venues for international Cross-country. A week later, from May 29 to 30, Loudenvielle-Peyragudes, in the French Pyrenees, will host the first Downhill event.

After a weekend break, the first major block of joint competition will arrive. Leogang, from June 11 to 13, will kick off the six events where the specialties of XCO, XCC, and DH will coincide. It will be followed by Les Gets, from June 18 to 20, a venue that will have special significance in 2027 because it will also host the Cross-country and Downhill competitions of the Cycling World Championships to be held in the French region of Haute-Savoie.
July will begin with the Italian event in La Thuile, which will face its second participation as a World Cup Cross-country venue and its third in Downhill.
Pal Arinsal, in Andorra, will once again bring together the best MTB specialists from July 9 to 11. The Andorran station will be the last stop before a break of approximately six weeks in the calendar.
The competition will resume from August 20 to 22 in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, while Val di Sole will return from September 10 to 12. The Italian venue did not participate in the 2026 World Cup because it hosted the MTB World Championships, but it will regain its place in 2027 as the last European event of the year and the last joint event of the three disciplines.
The conclusion will take place in North America, although with separate finals. Soldier Hollow, in Utah, will decide the Cross-country World Cup on September 25 and 26, while Whistler Mountain Bike Park, in Canada, will close the Downhill season on October 2 and 3.
Both venues debuted on the circuit in 2026 and will return in 2027, this time with the added prominence of hosting the final events of their respective specialties.

Eight events per discipline and six weekends with all specialties
The distribution of the ten venues will allow for eight rounds of Cross-country and eight of Downhill, with six weekends where all three disciplines will coincide.
The calendar confirms the continuity of the major alpine and Pyrenean venues, but also consolidates the presence of North America in the decisive stretch of the season.
Chris Ball, Vice President of Cycling Events, EMEA Sports at Skydance, has highlighted that the goal for 2027 has been to combine internationally recognized venues with locations that have a strong MTB following, maintaining the highest competitive level from the first events to the finals.
With this announcement, the organization has defined the route of the 2027 MTB World Cup, which will once again have Andorra as its only stop in Pyrenean territory outside of France and will culminate with two consecutive weekends of competition in the United States and Canada.
