Segway enters the world of eBikes with its intelligent driving technology
The popular personal mobility vehicles brand takes a step forward and expands its catalog with the inclusion of its first eBikes, the Xafari, which will be available for sale during the first quarter of 2025.
Self-balancing vehicles, scooters, and now bikes in the Segway range
Segway became popular a few years ago thanks to its self-balancing personal vehicles. However, within the world of sustainable personal mobility, it has been shifting its range towards the increasingly popular electric scooters.
Now, it is expanding its reach to mobility on bikes with the launch of the Xafari, an eBike that was presented earlier this year at the CES show in Las Vegas and will be available throughout the first quarter of 2025, starting pre-sales with the beginning of the new year.

Tips for getting up early to ride
The Segway Xafari is an urban-style bicycle equipped with double suspension, with a front fork of 70 mm and a swingarm capable of traveling 80 mm in addition to generous 26-inch tires with a large volume that promise to make our journeys as comfortable as possible.
Electric assistance is provided by a motor located in the rear hub capable of delivering up to 750 W of peak power and 80 Nm of torque. The motor is powered by a huge 913 Wh capacity battery.
Following the trend of the best urban eBikes on the market, the Segway Xafari offers full connectivity through its specific Xchange app, which allows GPS tracking or electronic anti-theft function. In addition, the bike itself has interesting features such as adaptive headlights or the so-called Segway Intelligent Ride System that automatically manages assistance, allowing for a fantastic range of up to 140 kilometers.
In addition to the Xafari, Segway will also add the Xyber model to its catalog, in this case, it is an electric moped that, in addition to assisting through pedaling, has a throttle, which means that, in Europe, it must be registered in the same way as a moped. In any case, it offers the same intelligent assistance management functions through the Segway Intelligent Ride System, achieving a range of up to 160 km.
