SCOTT Lemmy Tribute Scale: Pure Rock and Roll

Once again Gustav Gullholm, better known as Dangerholm, surprises us with another of his meticulous creations. This time he has gone all out with a SCOTT Scale in which he pays tribute to the legendary Lemmy Kilmister, singer of Motörhead. The result is a hardtail racing mountain bike in which a lot of care has gone into the design, but it is assembled and customized to deliver maximum performance.

There is no doubt that Lemmy (on the T-shirt) is a reference for Dangerholm.

As we have already seen in other Dangerholm projects, for example this Scale Gravel or the Hyper Spark, this SCOTT Scale Lemmy Tribute is full of polished components that lighten the whole and offer a very unique look, handcrafted solutions like the custom-made handlebars or exclusive components, such as the Zirbel electronic shifting control unit.

This exclusive MTB is based on a SCOTT Scale RC World Cup frame, custom painted and uniquely assembled.

Lemmy Kilmister, frontman of the rock'n'roll band Motörhead, passed away in 2015 and is a music icon. Dangerholm's style is clearly inspired by him and he wanted to pay tribute to him with this creation.

The drivetrain mounts a SRAM GX AXS front derailleur with oversized Kolossos Ceramic cage, customized in Cerakote white, SRAM X01 chain, Garbaruk 40t chainring with SRAM Quark power meter and Rotor 12v cassette.

The "cockpit" is one of the areas where Dangerholm takes the greatest care to make them as minimalist as possible. All a work of craftsmanship that hides the electronic wiring of the control unit inside the handlebars.

Syncors Tofino saddle and Rockshox Reverb seatpost, not the lightest but it is electronic and removes cables from the handlebars, something Dangerholm is obsessed with.

The minimalist Zirbel Twistter gears together with the Scott Rideloc remote control completely customized for the occasion.

The r2-bike.com store specializes in custom components, such as Shimano XTR pedals with titanium axle.

They look like a normal Shimano XTR, but have been upgraded with the METI titanium axle. This is one of those components that make Dangerholm assemblies so unique.

The black design with metallic details looks simple but captures the Motorhead frontman's style well.

The Rockshox SID Ultimate fork has been polished and chromed beyond recognition.

Dangerholm insisted that weight was not an obsession this time, but even so this SCOTT Scale comes in at 9.16 kg including pedals.
