New Scott Addict Gravel: fully integrated and ready for adventure
Scott has just introduced its new Addict Gravel, a complete evolution of the model that according to the brand makes it the fastest bike on the market in its modality. The Scott Addict Gravel offers a new vision in this type of bike thanks to a total integration inherited from the road models.
New Scott Addict Gravel
The gravel modality has gained so many followers in a few years that we can no longer speak of a trend but of a fully consolidated discipline, even with a calendar of competitions that increases every year due to the demand of fans eager for adventure on wheels.

But when it seems that the lines are blurring between modalities, brands like Scott propose models, such as this new Addict Gravel, ready to innovate and set tendencies.
When we talk about gravel, we're talking about bike rides that are both on-road and off-road and can even lead to trails. As William Juban, Head of Road Bike Engineering at SCOTT, explains, "It was clear to us from the beginning that we wanted to design a total gravel bike that would also be an adventure bike." "A bike that could do it all. The result is probably the fastest, most capable and most fun-to-ride gravel bike on the market today."
The Scott Addict Gravel offers a renewed design with an extremely lightweight frame and a progressive geometry that, among other things, allows for a larger wheelbase and includes more mounts for luggage and bags. In addition, thanks to the collaboration with Syncros, new levels of integration have been reached: the fully integrated cable routing, together with the Syncros Creston iC SL X one-piece handlebar assembly, give the Addict Gravel a completely clean aesthetic line.
Key points of the Scott Addict Gravel
Geometry
The Scott Addict Gravel has a modern, balanced gravel geometry that allows for greater bike control on technical sections. Increased reach, superior hub offset from the fork, a lower bottom bracket and shorter stem make the new Addict perfect for efficient engagement and riding, or agile and stable in rough terrain. Wheel clearance has been increased by 45 mm to ensure a smooth and controlled feel.
Maximum lightness without compromising resistance
For the new Addict Gravel, Scott has taken the brand's strongest carbon road frame and specially layered and reinforced certain areas to achieve a very light and durable frame assembly. The Addict Gravel Tuned frame weighs 930g and the fork weighs 395g.
The frame tubes have been designed with an aerodynamic profile to reduce air resistance without sacrificing comfort or flexibility.
Integration
This is perhaps the most attractive feature of the new Addict Gravel at first glance. Thanks to the new SYNCROS Creston iC SL X handlebar assembly, the new Addict completely hides the wiring for both mechanical and electronic shifting, just as we saw on the Addict RC and Foil RC models.
The end result is an outstanding combination of aesthetics, ergonomics, flexibility and lightness. It comes with a 16° flare for optimal riding away from the asphalt and weighs an incredible 335g. The top section has been retracted to improve shock absorption and allow the use of a thicker gravel-specific handlebar tape, without sacrificing anything in the integrated design concept.
The integration of cable routing not only improves the aesthetics of the bike, but also facilitates airflow from the front and leaves more friction-free cable space for mounting bags on the handlebars.
Smart anchors
One of the particularities of gravel bikes is that they are often used for long routes where you have to carry everything you need on them. So-called bikepacking. And for this, the Scott Addict Gravel includes smart anchors distributed throughout the bike and that for example will allow mounting a third bottle cage under the down tube, a bag on the top of the horizontal tube, fenders or bags that need to be attached to the rear stays.
Assembly details
All models of the new Addict Gravel come with hydraulic disc brakes and 160 mm discs. Front discs can be 160/180 mm and rear 160/140 mm.
The bike is compatible with 1 or 2 chainring drivetrains and a single chainring chain guide can be fitted to the derailleur mount.
Models and pricing of the new Scott Addict Gravel
The new Scott Addict Gravel family consists of 5 models to choose from with SRAM and Shimano 2 chainring options and a single chainring with SRAM.
The first models will go on sale from September/October 2021 and range in price from €2,699 to €8599.
