An authentic UCI points fishing ground: 3 races on the same circuit and during 3 days, that's the Salamina Epic MTB Races

The XCO has an attractive event this week on the Greek island of Salamina. It will be at the Salamina Epic MTB Races and some of the best UCI ranking riders will be there with the intention of accumulating the maximum possible UCI points in just 3 days.

Salamina Epic MTB Races 2024: 3 elite XCO races in the same week on the same circuit

The Salamina Epic MTB Races is an event that takes place from February 28 to March 3 with a unique format consisting of 3 XCO races, 2 with C1 category and 1 with HC category, all on the same circuit.

This event has had significant participation in previous years, but this edition could be exceptional as it is an Olympic year and will distribute up to 220 UCI points for elite races in just 4 days. An excellent opportunity that will attract some of the best XCO specialists in the world to this Greek island once again.

The race circuit is a 4.1 km route with 170 meters of elevation gain per lap and an initial loop of 2 km.

Regarding favorites, the organizer has not yet released a final list of participants, but we can already highlight the presence of the powerful SCOTT SRAM team with Filippo Colombo, Kate Courtney, and Andri Frischknecht; the Rockrider Ford team with Greta Seiwald, Emeline Detilleux, Joshua Dubau, Mattis Azzaro, and Maxime Marotte; the Lapierre Mavic Unity team with Malene Degn, Thomas Litscher, and Sebastian Fini; the numerous KMC Ridley MTB Racing team almost complete, with more confirmations expected.
