RX8 and RX8R, Shimano's new cycling shoes for gravel enthusiasts
Shimano renews its range of gravel shoes with two models designed to satisfy both the more adventurous and those looking for performance. All with a robust construction to cope with the tough demands of off-road riding.
Top-performance cycling shoes also for gravel riding
Shimano updates its star models of gravel shoes with the launch of the RX8 and RX8R, created to meet the requirements of those looking for the same performance in a gravel shoe that they get in their road shoes without sacrificing a high level of comfort, necessary when facing the long distances that are covered in this type of cycling.
Both the RX8 and RX8R share the same essential features. Only the fabric ankle collar of the latter, designed to prevent the entry of stones and dirt, differentiate both models of the new gravel shoes from Shimano.

In both cases, following the trend of the Japanese brand's entire range, these gravel shoes are constructed using a double-flap wrap-around liner that is fastened by a single BOA Li2 closure and Velcro in the lower area.
Like a good performance shoe, the sole is made from carbon fibre to provide the best power transfer with every pedal stroke. On top of that, a durable TPU lugged outsole provides a smooth ride when needed.
Shimano has worked in this renovation of its gravel shoes to make the upper wrap more effectively around the foot, especially in the heel area, which in this new model gains in stability. To achieve the optimum fit, the sizing has been improved, adding half sizes so that you can find exactly the size that best suits your feet.
A gravel shoe that will undoubtedly satisfy both the most competitive cyclists and those who are looking for a reliable and comfortable model to face the longest rides.
