The latest from Pinarello is as fast as it is expensive
The Italian track cycling team will benefit from the technology used by Pinarello to help Filippo Ganna break the hour record and they will have at their disposal the new Bolide F HR 3D and HR C, the most aerodynamic and expensive bikes ever created by Pinarello, bikes that, following UCI regulations, will soon be available for sale although at a price level reflecting their meticulous craftsmanship.

In track cycling events, having the best equipment is key to winning races that are sometimes decided by tenths of a second. Equipment that, in the case of the Italian track team, one of the leading teams in this discipline, especially when it comes to the flagship event of the Olympic program such as the team pursuit, is provided by Pinarello, who has focused on developing bikes that meet the needs of those aiming for Olympic gold.

Pinarello has prepared two new versions of its Bolide model, the F HR 3D and the Pinarello Bolide F HR C. Both with similar designs in terms of aerodynamic solutions. The Pinarello Bolide F HR 3D is an adaptation of the unique model that Filippo Ganna used to set the current hour record. We remind you that this bike is completely made through 3D printing in an alloy of scandium, aluminum, and magnesium called Scalmalloy. 6 units of this bike have been produced and will be used by the male squad members.
On the other hand, the women's team will have the Pinarello Bolide F HR C, in this case, with a more conventional construction in carbon fiber but with identical aerodynamic profiles to those created through fluid dynamics software and wind tunnel testing that have further optimized the bike's aerodynamics used by Filippo Ganna in his record, refining, within the limitations set by UCI regulations, the fork legs and seat stays.
These bikes, to meet UCI requirements, will have to be available to the public in Pinarello's catalog and the brand has announced that they will soon be for sale, although at an absolutely prohibitive price of €28,750 for the Bolide F HR 3D while the carbon fiber version, the F HR C will be more affordable at €12,500, and we are only talking about the frame+fork+seatpost kit.
