Orbea Terra drops in price with its new aluminium version
The Orbea Terra has been one of the brand's big new products for this season, a fast and comfortable gravel bike perfect for routes or trips that combine road and off-road. Now the family is completed with an aluminium Terra H version that starts at €1,999 and brings it even closer to more riders.
New Orbea Terra H in aluminium
The brand has been careful to point out that the Orbea Terra is not one of those new competition gravel bikes, but it certainly doesn't give up the fun of speed. With this warning what they make clear is that the Terra is a light and friendly bike on which any rider can spend long days on it without suffering the demands of other models focused on competition.
Aluminium for the frame, carbon for the fork
The Orbea Terra is a gravel bike designed from the scratch that perfectly integrates all the new trends in the modality. This new version of the hydroformed aluminium frame features the same OMR monocoque carbon fork that we see in the Terra carbon range. This fork offers an optimal combination of comfort, tire clearance and torsional stiffness.

During the frame manufacturing process, the aluminium tubes are designed in shape and thickness to increase strength and resistance to unwanted twisting. In addition, to save weight, many of the tubes are assembled in the midsection, away from the stress of joints and welds.
Multi-purpose: a highly adjustable gravel bike
As in the carbon range, Orbea has designed the Terra for what they classify as three types of cyclists: the pure graveler, the explorer and the adventurer. With them they manage to show that this is a very adjustable model.
The aluminium Orbea Terra allows riders to opt for 700 wheels and up to 45mm tyres when seeking speed and efficiency on rough roads. Or swap to 650B wheels and 50mm tires if looking for durability, traction and extreme comfort, especially for light bikepacking.
The Terra frame on both versions allows for a wide range of gears and tires without sacrificing tire clearance. Its asymmetric chainstay design means cyclists can choose any gear for a 1x drivetrain or a 2x drivetrain with a small chainring up to 34T.
In addition, the Orbea Terra's aluminium frame adds specific mounting points for a rear pannier rack. We say addition, because it also includes the mounting points for mudguards and three water bottles that the aluminium version has.
Gravel-specific geometry
As with the carbon version, the Orbea Terra H features a geometry that focuses on comfort and precise handling. The short chainstays offer acceleration and speed, and the low bottom bracket provides greater stability and control on rough terrain.
The aluminium version of the Orbea Terra is available in six different sizes ranging from XS to XXL so that you can find the size and position that best suits each rider.
