The SCOTT Spark ridden by Nino Schurter to win the Les Gets World Championships

In 2022, Nino Schurter raced on a very special SCOTT Spark, customised just for him and commemorating all the titles won by the reigning World Champion. But in Les Gets he won his tenth World Championships on a brand new Spark, which, as we have learned, will go straight into the SCOTT museum.

The Spark with which Nino Schurter has won his tenth World Championship

This is not the first time we see this design in black and yellow, it was debuted by Andri Frischknecht at the Vallnord World Cup and is the main colour of the SCOTT Spark 2023 range.

But that's not the only change on Nino Schurter's Spark, as it also featured the new SRAM derailleur with no dropout that is directly attached to the frame. Here you can see in detail what we know about it so far.

Customised brake levers and the eternal number 1 for N1NO Schurter
The rear derailleur, cassette and chain are all part of the new groupset that SRAM is reportedly about to launch.
The rear derailleur is anchored directly to the frame, without dropouts, and the bearings are larger. The chain is also new and SRAM has customised it for the occasion by adding Nino's name to each link.
Latest version of the SRAM "Blackbox" chainring with integrated power meter
Once again, Schurter has chosen a mechanical dropper seatpost (looks like a Yep) instead of the Reverb AXS to save weight.
When you get closer you can see that it is not a solid black colour, but is mottled in yellow.
Nino has once again chosen SYNCROS SILVERTON wheels with aluminium spokes instead of the last model made entirely of carbon.
This SCOTT Spark goes straight into the SCOTT museum, so we can say that the Les Gets World Championship was its last race.
