New Oquo range for mountain bike: own hubs, less weight and more performance

Oquo has only been in the market for two years and has already positioned itself as one of the most highly rated wheel brands in both mountain biking and road cycling. Now it continues its particular revolution with a new MTB range with Oquo DT Inside hubs, straight pull spokes, or a new rim design.

New Oquo 2025 range for Mountain Bike

The Oquo brand made itself known with its first range of mountain bike wheels and in just two years the company has managed to establish itself as a reference in the sector, improving its production facilities and testing laboratory in the Basque Country while developing a complete range of road wheels and achieving its first successes in top-level competitions.

Continuing with this evolution, Oquo now presents a new MTB range driven by feedback received from its competition teams, its exhaustive laboratory tests, and experimentation with new technologies. All of this has been reflected in the new additions to the Mountain Performance (MP) and Mountain Control (MC) ranges, designed to offer superior performance to the most demanding cyclists.

New Oquo Mountain Performance (MP) Wheels: MP30 LTD and MP30 Team

The new Mountain Performance (MP) range from Oquo has been rolling on the best XCO circuits of the World Cup for a few months, here we caught it for the first time in Les Gets, and now it is officially presented as their lightest and highest performance wheels. The new MP30 LTD and MP30 Team wheels feature the new "Oquo DT Inside" hub, developed internally by Oquo.

The new Oquo DT Inside hubs are part of the brand's strategy to meticulously control the entire manufacturing process to ensure the maximum quality and performance of their products. This new hub eliminates unnecessary material and achieves a weight savings, without compromising reliability or performance, of 7 grams in the front LTD hubs and 29 grams in the rear hubs.

The new Oquo MP30 LTD and MP30 Team wheels also include the DT Swiss Ratchet mechanism, known for its efficiency and durability. The Oquo MP30 LTD use the Ratchet EXP and the Team version uses the standard Ratchet system.

Another highlighted innovation is the "straight pull" spokes, replacing the J-Bend spokes used previously in this range. This new design allows the spoke head to be closer to the hub, improving power transmission and minimizing mechanical losses. In addition, the hubs incorporate T-Shape nipples, which prevent the spokes from twisting or loosening.

New Mountain Control (MC) Range: MC32 Team and MC32 Team Power

The Mountain Control (MC) range from Oquo offers wheels oriented towards Trail and Enduro, and here the brand presents the new MC32 Team and MC32 Team Power. Both feature a new aluminum rim, developed and tested with the Orbea Fox Enduro team in the most extreme conditions.

The new rim design is made with an improved alloy that allows increasing the wheel's strength by up to 50% in the most critical areas. Additionally, it features a "Mini-hook" profile that provides greater puncture resistance without adding significant weight. The MC32 Team Power wheels are specially designed for electric bikes, with a specific hub that meets the demands of these bikes.

Customization, local production, and lifetime warranty

Since its inception, Oquo has offered a customization service that allows its wheels to be as unique as the end user desires. This service, exclusive to LTD wheels, allows customers to choose from a wide variety of colors and adds new graphics, including those used by official road and mountain bike teams.

It is worth noting that Oquo maintains a strong commitment to local production, and all its wheels are manufactured in Europe. Additionally, in the case of MC32 Team and MC32 Team Power, all components are of European origin. With this strategy, the brand aims to bring the entire production process as close as possible to Europe and reduce dependence on external suppliers.

To ensure that Oquo's commitment to quality is not trivial, the brand offers a lifetime warranty for all its LTD and Team wheels, both in the Mountain Performance (MP) and Mountain Control (MC) ranges. This warranty is offered at no cost through registration on the company's website, and covers repairs or replacements in case of wheel breakage or cracking.
