Loana Lecomte's New Canyon Lux and Exceed for 2022
French rider Loana Lecomte has made one of the big team changes for next season and after 4 years racing with Massi, in 2022 we will see her on Canyon bikes and leading the new Canyon CLLCTV XCO. Here we take a look at what her new Canyon Lux and Exceed bikes look like and how they are set up.
Loana Lecomte's Canyon Lux and Exceed for 2022
Canyon CLLCTV seems to be the brand's most serious bid to be the official factory team, in parallel to MTB Racing, which has been led by Emily Batty since last year, so we'll be keeping an eye on all the material they bring to the race as it could be a source of future tests with new material or prototypes.

At the moment, Loana will be racing almost every race on the Canyon Lux CF SLX full suspension bike. A bike that may be new to Loana, but the truth is that it has won everything: XC and XCM world championships, World Cups, Europeans... And the hardtail option will be the Canyon Exceed CF SLX, which also knows what it's like to win an XCO World Championship.
Both models feature the CF SLX frame, the lightest and stiffest carbon fibre options in the catalogue, and are customised with a white, blue and red colour scheme that depicts the French flag and reminds us that Lecomte is the current French XCO national champion.
RockShox and SRAM provide the suspension, drivetrain and brakes on Loana Lecomte's new MTB. And that's a big difference to the other Canyon set-ups we've seen in the World Cup on Van der Poel's or Emily Batty's teams.
Both the Lux and the Exceed feature the SRAM Eagle XX1 AXS wireless groupset with SRAM Level Ultimate brakes and RockShox SID SL Ultimate fork. In addition, the Canyon Lux comes with the RockShox SID Deluxe Ultimate shock and the Reverb AXS dropper seatpost, which is also wireless. The Exceed is lightweight and the dropper seatpost is replaced by a Canyon S29 VCLS carbon one.
The choice of wheels and tyres is a classic from recent seasons and we see a pair of DT Swiss XRC 1200 Spline wheels with Schwalbe Racing Day tyres at the front and Racing Ralph tyres at the rear. The handlebars are the new Canyon CP0008 set with integrated stem.
As we said, there were already other Canyon official teams on the World Cup circuit, but the choice of brands on the Canyon CLLCTV XCO bikes definitely makes us think that this could be the brand's "most spoilt" team from now on.
Here you can take a look at the new Canyon Lux and Exceed 2022 that the brand has in its catalogue.
