Movistar's kit for the Tour: Gobik ICEBERG
The well-known cycling apparel company has prepared a very special kit for Movistar Team for the upcoming Tour de France. The Gobik Iceberg kit combines performance, sustainability, design and social awareness in its garments, values that the Spanish team will wear on the French roads in both the men's and women's editions.
Movistar and Gobik go white for Tour de France
As it did during the last Vuelta a España, the team will change its usual corporate blue color for white in the new kit developed by its supplier, Gobik, to face the Tour de France.
A new kit in which the brand has sought 4 objectives: improved performance, sustainability of the fabrics used, a differentiating design and social awareness for the protection of the seas.

The white color with subtle gradients towards blue tries to represent the polar ice of the oceans, hence its name Iceberg, in a quest to raise awareness about climate change. In fact, in order to support ocean protection programs, Movistar Team will auction the jerseys used during the Tour de France, which will be signed by the team members.
The choice of white also has a practical aspect, as it is able to more efficiently reflect ultraviolet rays and heat, a basic aspect in a race such as the Tour de France, which is generally held in the torrid temperatures of the afternoons in July.
Following this philosophy of sustainability, the Gobik Iceberg jersey is made using 60% recycled fabric, with fibers from plastics such as fishing nets, bottles or surplus production in order to ensure that its production has the lowest possible environmental impact.
