Mondraker Foxy Carbon 2022: more enduro than ever

If there is an iconic bike in the Mondraker catalogue, it is undoubtedly the Mondraker Foxy. A model introduced in 2004 that has accompanied the brand in its evolution with major milestones such as the presentation of the Foxy Carbon in 2015. This is one of the most awarded and popular Enduro mountain bikes in the world, which arrives in 2022 more enduro than ever.

New Mondraker Foxy Carbon 2022

The frame of the Mondraker Foxy Carbon 2022 has been manufactured using the brand's own STEALTH AIR FULL CARBON technology. With it, they manage to offer that aggressive and elegant aesthetic distinctive of Mondraker at the same time as a light and stiff frame. The latter is achieved thanks to the manual application of the fibres, which allows them to be intelligently arranged to reinforce areas such as the bottom bracket shell and the bottom bracket. The chainstays have also been renewed for the Foxy Carbon 2022 and have been modified and reinforced compared to the previous version. Even so, it is still one of the lightest enduro bikes on the market.

The double link rear suspension system is also new on the Foxy 2022 compared to the previous version. Making use of its ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM technology, the brand ensures that the work and dedication on the rear suspension system has been very important and has been done with the collaboration of the suspension manufacturers themselves to have tailor-made configurations for this model. It arrives with a completely modified kinematic system with longer stroke shocks to offer greater ride range and a more absorbent feel. The Foxy is more enduro than ever before, but without losing efficiency on climbs.

Mondraker's MIND telemetry system is also standard on this Foxy. With it you can easily adjust the suspension and collect all kinds of information with the help of the myMondraker app, for example, data such as kilometres, jumps performed and their distance, how many millimetres you've used of the suspension at any given moment, etc.

Adjustable geometry

The new Foxy Carbon has the possibility to change the geometry with two options: "standard" and "low". By means of the rear bolt located on the bottom bracket you can change the steering angle from 65º to 64.5º (64.5º to 64º on the Foxy XR), the saddle angle from 76º to 75.7º and the bottom bracket height from -30 mm to -25 mm, slightly lower than on the previous model.

The most significant and noticeable change is the increase in chainstay length, from 435mm in the standard position to 445mm in the “low” position. The “low” setting thus increases grip, mid-corner and overall stability and poise at high speed as well as offering better weight distribution, performance and more active suspension behavior on the descents.

Subtle geometric modifications of 0.5 to the head angle or 10mm to the chainstay length which add up the new Foxy Carbon performing better whatever your style and preferences are as a rider.

Mondraker Foxy Carbon 2022: models and prices

The Mondraker Foxy Carbon 2022 family is made up of three models that share the same frame but change their assemblies. All of them have the possibility to modify their geometry and are available in 4 sizes: S, M, L and XL.

The Foxy Carbon XR with 170mm of travel at the front and 150mm at the rear is the most radical of the range. It features Ölhins suspension with RFX 36 fork and TTX Air shock, SRAM X01 Eagle drivetrain, DT Swiss EXC1501 Carbon Spline 29 wheels, SRAM G2 RSC brakes and ONOFF components with Kripton Carbon 1.0 handlebars.

The Foxy Carbon RR features FOX suspension with 160 mm front and 150 mm rear travel, SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain, DT Swiss EX1700 Spline 29 wheels, SRAM G2 R brakes and ONOFF components.

The Foxy Carbon R also features Fox suspension with 160mm front and 150mm rear. It also comes with SRAM NX Eagle drivetrain, DT Swiss E1900 Spline 29 wheels, dropper seatpost, SRAM G2 R brakes and ONOFF components.
