Two-time European XCO champion Lars Forster will be the new reinforcement of the Thömus Maxon team for 2023. Forster will race for the first time in the red colors of the Swiss team on January 2nd, 2023, in the final round of the Swiss Cyclocross Cup.

Thomus Maxon is one of the strongest World Cup teams thanks to the performances of Alessandra Keller and Mathias Fluckiger. And with the signing of Lars the team will have for the first time 3 Elite riders competing in the Elite Men's category: Mathias Fluckiger, Vital Albin and Forster himself.

“We are very pleased that we were able to sign Lars Forster. Lars still has great untapped potential despite his two European Championship titles, his 2019 World Cup victory in Snowshoe and other international victories. In addition, he also fits very well into the team,” explained Ralph Näf, the team's manager.

Lars Forster is very excited about his new team: “The decisive factor for me was that Ralph and the team placed their trust in me and believe in me. That gives me great confidence. In addition, Thömus maxon brings everything it takes to be successful: a professional environment, a super team spirit and perfect material.”

Thömus Maxon's goals for 2023 remain ambitious but clear, as Ralph Näf explained: “We want to win World Cup races, national and international titles and be one of the world’s best mountain bike teams!”.
