Kate Courtney started the season with a fourth place in Leogang that reminded us of the best version of the American, but in Nove Mesto, when she was fighting for the podium places, she suffered a hard crash that ended any chance of victory. She would later discover that this fall caused a fracture in her arm that has kept her out of the competition until she is fully recovered. The Scott SRAM rider has already secured a place at the Tokyo Olympics and we wouldn't be surprised if she reappears at the next World Cup in Les Gets after a short break to recover from injury.
