Jolanda Neff wins in DH, Cyclocross and Enduro in the same week
Olympic champion Jolanda Neff is once again spending a long season in the USA, the home country of her partner Luca Shaw, and after some time away from the bike, she is back with a bang. In the same week she has managed to win three races in such different disciplines as DH, CX and Enduro.
Jolanda Neff wins in DH, CX and Enduro within a few days difference
We already know that the Trek Factory Racing rider is one of the most technical riders of the whole XC World Cup grid, including men and women, and this is largely due to her love of other technical disciplines, such as DH, Cyclocross or Enduro, during her pre-season.
This week we saw on Neff's social media that she first won one of the races of the DH Southeast series, Rock Creek. It was a pure downhill race and the Swiss rider confessed: "By far the gnarliest track I‘ve ever ridden in my life!".
But just 7 days later, the cyclist has disputed the North Carolina CX Grand Prix. A race of the US cyclocross calendar in which Neff had to work hard to beat the French Caroline Mani, who has been dominating the US CX circuit.
But Jolanda was still planning to take part in another race just a few miles outside of North Carolina, so after the CX event she jumped in the car and arrived just in time to race the next day at the Cranksgiving Enduro in South Carolina, where she also took the win.
We already know that elite athletes use this part of the year to do other sports that allow them to acquire new skills and enjoy themselves. And that's exactly what Jolanda Neff seems to be doing, only her talent even allows her to win races of this kind even when she is still far from her best form.
