The preseason continues and most professional mountain bikers have already put aside training with other sports to focus more time on mountain biking. Among them, two of the big favorites, Nino Schurter and Victor Koretzky have coincided in South Africa and have not hesitated to train together.

Koretzky and Schurter train together in South Africa

With the European winter in its coldest months, many mountain bike professionals do not hesitate to move to warmer regions such as those offered by South Africa at this time of year. The destination is in vogue and some teams are even taking the opportunity to train for the upcoming Absa Cape Epic, to be held March 19-26.

This concentration of riders in the same country leaves us with interesting images such as the first sprint of the year between Victor Koretzky, recent signing of Specialized Factory Racing, and world champion Nino Schurter.

As you can see, it's a funny video with no intention of actually proving themselves, but Nino Schurter's mind was surely still running through the images of the sprint that Koretzky beat him in 2021 to win the Albstadt World Cup.

By the way, in the social networks of both of them they can also be seen training together with Sebastian Fini, the Dane who usually trains with a car wheel attached to his bike and who still has no known team for 2023 after he was not announced with the new Orbea Factory.
