Commencal Tempo, first images of an unprecedented XC
The Andorran brand Commencal has been in the gravity elite for years, but its catalogue hasn't seen an XC MTB for a long time. After some rumours about a possible Commencal team in XCO and several prototypes seen in the World Cup, the French rider Amaury Pierron has just published the first images of this Commencal Tempo.
Commencal Tempo, a competition XC in aluminium?
It is not usual to see DH specialists riding short-travel mountain bikes, but just a few hours ago, Frenchman Amaury Pierron published several images with this unprecedented Commencal model.
In his post, Pierron explains that this is the new Commencal Tempo, an XC bike, and that he will be racing with it next weekend. The geolocation of the image suggests that the race chosen for the premiere of this Tempo will be the XCO race of the Roc d'Azur festival.

In the images we can see that we are looking at a mountain bike with a virtual pivot suspension system with dual linkage and that the construction of the frame is entirely in aluminium. Something that does not seem very much in line with the current XCO competition, but that would fit perfectly in the catalogue of the brand as a Downcountry MTB.
Seeing the level of finish of the model, we suppose that Commencal could present it in a short time and it will be then when we will know all its details and the intentions of the brand with regard to the competition.
