Filippo Ganna reveals a new Kask very aerodynamic for everyday use
After a period of being established in the market and without apparent evolutions, aero helmets for road use take a new leap in efficiency with the new Kask model that Filippo Ganna has been testing and has shown without shame in photos of his preseason training. This model, in theory, would be the replacement for the Utopia of the Italian brand.
Kask's new aerodynamic helmet nods to time trial
Despite changes in some of the sponsors of INEOS Grenadiers with the arrival of Prologo to the saddles or Gobik in terms of equipment, Kask, along with Pinarello maintain the collaboration with the British team since the times of Team Sky.
A collaboration that has served Kask to improve year after year their helmets innovating with some models that have become true classics. Now, the Italian brand does it again and shows us, on Filippo Ganna's head what appears to be its new aerodynamic model for road use in a leak, clearly intentional to create expectation before the launch of this new helmet which, in principle, should replace the veteran Utopia, its current aerodynamic helmet for everyday use dating from 2018.

The new design proposed by Kask approaches the structure of time trial helmets with the sides descending to partially cover the ears with what is supposedly sought to expand the area through which the air flow can run without obstacles and, in turn, cover the temples of the glasses to prevent them from interfering with the aerodynamics.
Unlike what happens in time trial helmets, this new Kask model only covers the top of the ears since, obviously, when pedaling within a peloton you have to have all five senses fully active and hearing is one of the most important when anticipating dangers. Anyone who has used a time trial helmet will know that with them on you hear very little of what surrounds us.
Despite the search for the best aerodynamics, this new Kask helmet maintains large vents on the top although it has long been proven that they can be allies in improving aerodynamics if the air flow runs through the inside of the helmet in the right way. In any case, it is a design that reminds of the current Utopia which makes us assume that this new helmet will be the replacement of this.
