Dascalu's Supercaliber 2024 already races with the RockShox Flight Attendant system, but is not yet listed in Trek's catalog
The Trek Supercaliber 2024 was introduced last season with significant updates such as its new frame and a new 80mm shock developed by RockShox. Now, this model has been updated with the new electronic suspensions RockShox Flight Attendant, but it has to be a special model that has not been released yet and is currently only used by the Trek Factory Racing team.
A detailed look at Vlad Dascalu's Trek Supercaliber with Flight Attendant
Trek Factory Racing cyclist Vlad Dascalu was one of the first to test and compete with the new Flight Attendant suspensions before they were released to the market, but in his case with a special model as his Trek Supercaliber mounts a specific shock developed by RockShox exclusively for this bike.
This is the RockShox Sid Luxe IsoStrut, referring to the original rear suspension system of this bike that eliminates a linkage to improve its balance between stiffness, weight, traction, and absorption, and the suspension brand had to adapt their Flight Attendant electronic system for this version.
As explained during its presentation, Flight Attendant suspensions are not compatible with all mountain bikes, and RockShox released a chart specifying which bikes they could be mounted on. The Supercaliber 2024 was not listed, but judging by the images, it is only a matter of time before a Supercaliber option with this shock is released to the market.
