Darimo unveils its carbon cranks and prepares new aero chainrings
Darimo has just presented one of its most important innovations for this year at the Sea Otter Europe. The Valencian company specialized in ultralight carbon components has just unveiled new cranksets made entirely of carbon, including the axle.
Darimo presents its new carbon cranksets for MTB, road, and gravel
Darimo has made a name for itself worldwide thanks to components where carbon and meticulous manufacturing are the main protagonists. Seat posts, handlebars, and other components from the brand stand out precisely for seeking extremely low weights without compromising the structural requirements of each piece.

This same philosophy is now applied to their new cranksets. Both the arms and the axle itself are made of carbon, a solution with which Darimo takes its specialization in this material to one of the components subjected to the highest loads during pedaling.

For their manufacturing, the brand again resorts to a specific combination of bidirectional and unidirectional carbon fabrics. The orientation of the fibers is determined based on the loads that each area must withstand, aiming to optimize the relationship between weight, strength, and stiffness, while always maintaining safety as one of the fundamental design criteria.
The result is particularly striking on the scale. At Darimo's own stand at Sea Otter Europe, we were able to weigh a set of 165 mm crank arms that weighs just 245 grams.

Darimo will offer these new cranksets in the usual lengths from its catalog and with options aimed at road, gravel, and mountain bike. Their commercial arrival is also imminent. According to the information we have gathered at Sea Otter Europe, they will be available on the brand's website within a few days at a price of 1,099 euros.
Darimo is also preparing new aero chainrings
The cranksets are not the only novelty we found at the stand. Darimo is also developing new aero chainrings, which we were able to see mounted alongside the new crankset.

In this case, they are still prototypes, so there are no definitive specifications that we can share. The brand does expect them to reach the market soon.
