CUBE launches the Avinox M2S engine in its catalog starting at 4,799 with a carbon frame

CUBE has taken an important step in its e-MTB range for 2027 by incorporating the Avinox system for the first time. The German manufacturer launches this motorization in two versions of the Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC, its trail platform with a carbon front frame, 150 mm of travel in the front and 140 mm in the rear.

The arrival of Avinox also represents a significant change in CUBE's strategy. The brand, traditionally very linked to Bosch in its electric bikes, does not replace the German manufacturer but incorporates a second alternative within the Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC family.

The chosen models are the CUBE Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC EXC 800, priced at 4,799 euros, and the Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC Super TM 800, which goes up to 6,999 euros. Both share the Avinox M2S motor, a removable 800 Wh battery, and a particularly striking figure: up to 150 Nm of torque in Boost mode.

The set is completed in both models with a removable 800 Wh Avinox battery integrated into the down tube. On the top tube is the Avinox DP100 Curved display, while the BC100 controls are used on the handlebars, with controls located on both sides.

There is an important difference in charging. The Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC EXC 800 includes a 4 A charger, while the Super TM 800 comes with the 12 A Avinox fast charger.

A Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC adapted to the new system

CUBE has not developed a completely new chassis to introduce Avinox. The starting point remains the Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC, although adapted to integrate the new motor and its battery.

The main triangle is made of C:62 carbon using Advanced Twin Mold technology, while the swingarm uses 6061 T6 aluminum. The rear suspension maintains CUBE's FSP 4-Link system.

Both bikes offer 150 mm of front travel and 140 mm of rear travel, a configuration clearly oriented towards trail and all-mountain, where a balance between descending capability and efficiency for long routes and varied terrain is sought.

Among the frame details are the UDH standard, the Direct Mount chain guide, internal cabling, and X-Connect compatibility, which allows for direct powering of a compatible ACID front light from the bike's electrical system.

The head angle can also be adjusted by 0.6 degrees, offering some margin to adjust the bike's behavior between a more stable configuration or something more agile.

CUBE also returns to its Size Split system. Size S uses 27.5-inch wheels, while sizes M, L, and XL switch to 29 inches.

Avinox enters CUBE, but Bosch continues

The arrival of the Avinox M2S does not imply, at least for now, a break between CUBE and Bosch. The Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC 2027 range still includes versions equipped with Bosch systems, so the German manufacturer expands its motorization options rather than replacing one with another.

This is an important move for CUBE and also for Avinox. After quickly making a name for itself among the most talked-about assistance systems on the market, Avinox now adds one of the major European manufacturers to the list of brands using its technology.

CUBE Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC EXC 800: Avinox for less than 5,000 euros

The Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC EXC 800 becomes CUBE's entry point into the Avinox system and is likely the most eye-catching model of the two due to its price.

For 4,799 euros, it combines the M2S motor and the 800 Wh battery with a carbon front triangle, placing this version in a particularly competitive position within the catalog.

The front suspension is handled by a RockShox Psylo Gold RC with 150 mm, while at the rear, we find a RockShox Deluxe Select+.

CUBE has chosen a mechanical SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission with 12 speeds, with a 10-52 tooth cassette and specific e-MTB cranks. The brakes are SRAM Maven Base, with 200 mm discs front and rear.

The Newmen Performance 30 TRQ wheels come tubeless-ready and are combined with Continental Kryptotal tires, in Front version in the front and Rear in the rear, both with 2.4 inches of width.

It also includes a CUBE dropper post with a remote control.

The declared weight is 24.6 kg.

CUBE Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC Super TM 800: high-level build for 6,999 euros

The second version carries the Super TM surname, a designation that CUBE usually reserves for its more aggressive builds aimed at performance on demanding terrain.

The Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC Super TM 800 maintains exactly the same frame, motor, and battery base, but significantly elevates the level of its components.

The front suspension upgrades to a RockShox ZEB Ultimate with 150 mm and Charger 3.2 RC2 cartridge, accompanied at the rear by a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate.

The transmission is also completely changed. In this case, a SRAM X0 Eagle AXS electronic Transmission with 12 speeds is used, with an XS-1295 cassette of 10-52 teeth and X0 Eagle cranks specific for e-MTB.

The braking is handled by SRAM Maven Ultimate, also with 200 mm discs on both wheels.

For the wheels, CUBE chooses Newmen Beskar 30 TRQ Tubeless Ready. The tire combination is much more aggressive than in the EXC, with a Schwalbe Magic Mary Trail Pro Addix Soft 2.5" in the front and a Schwalbe Albert Gravity Pro Addix Soft 2.5" in the rear.

Although it uses components aimed at more demanding use, the official weight is slightly lower than that of the EXC: 24.4 kg.
