The new CUBE Attain 2027 tightens prices with a carbon frame and wheels for less than €1700

CUBE continues to make price one of its strongest arguments for 2027. And if the new CUBE Litening Aero C:68X is perhaps the WorldTour bike with the best quality-price ratio, the German brand has also updated its Attain range with six models, among which its Attain C:62 Race stands out. For 1,699 euros, it combines a carbon frame, Shimano 105 12-speed, and Newmen carbon wheels, a configuration that is hard to find currently at a similar price.

New CUBE Attain 2027: more performance without sacrificing comfort

The Attain represents a quite different proposal from the Litening within CUBE's road catalog. While the latter is designed around aerodynamics and maximum performance, the Attain seeks to combine much of that sporty character with a position and behavior more suitable for spending many hours on the bike.

For 2027, the family is divided into two different platforms: Attain C:62 with a carbon frame and Attain with an aluminum frame. In total, there are six setups, three of each material.

In both cases, CUBE bets on clean-looking frames with certain aerodynamic features, cable integration, hydraulic disc brakes, thru-axles, and 32 mm tires. They also share a completely carbon fork.

Attain C:62: carbon frame and up to 36 mm tire

The Attain C:62 is the most advanced version and uses CUBE's C:62 carbon with Twin Mold construction. The frame has a declared weight of 1,150 grams and adopts semi-aerodynamic profiles along with completely internal cabling.

CUBE has also sought to ensure that this efficiency does not compromise comfort. The stays are designed to provide some flex and filter out some of the vibrations coming from the asphalt, while the CUBE CSL Race C:62 fork is entirely made of carbon.

Another important point is in the tires. The frame accommodates tires up to 36 mm, although the three setups come standard with 32 mm. This allows for lower pressures and increases comfort and grip, as well as making the bike more versatile on deteriorated roads.

The frame incorporates 12x100 and 12x142 mm thru-axles, Flat Mount brakes, an integrated seat clamp, anchor points on the top tube, and is available in seven sizes, from 47 to 62 cm.

But what is truly striking about this range is in its setups.

The Attain C:62 Race for 1,699 euros already includes mechanical Shimano 105 2x12 and, above all, Newmen Advanced C.38 J carbon wheels. CUBE has thus avoided one of the usual cutbacks in carbon bikes at this price, where the wheels are often one of the first components to have costs trimmed.

Above that, the C:62 SLX adds Shimano 105 Di2, integrated IC Race cockpit, and carbon seat post for 2,499 euros, while the SLT culminates the family with Ultegra Di2, Newmen Advanced A.50 SJ carbon wheels, and 7.8 kg for 2,999 euros.

Aluminum Attain: from 899 euros and with carbon fork

CUBE maintains a second version of the Attain for those who want to reduce the budget even further. In this case, the frame is made of aluminum 6061 T4/T6 Superlite, but retains much of the philosophy of the C:62.

Its design also uses semi-aerodynamic profiles, with a teardrop-shaped down tube, and CUBE employs polished welds to achieve cleaner joints. The cabling is integrated, and both front and rear feature thru-axles.

Comfort remains a priority. The stays are particularly thin to help absorb vibrations, and CUBE retains a CUBE CSL Race C:62 completely carbon fork, a particularly interesting component considering that the entry model costs less than 900 euros.

The main difference in terms of versatility is in the tire clearance, which in the aluminum frames accommodates tires up to 33 mm, compared to the 36 mm of the C:62.

Here too, we find seven sizes between 47 and 62 cm and three levels of setup. The range starts with Shimano CUES 2x9, moves to CUES 2x11, and ends with an Attain SLX equipped directly with mechanical Shimano 105 2x12 for 1,299 euros.

Models and prices of the CUBE Attain 2027

The new range consists of six models. The three aluminum Attain models are priced between 899 and 1,299 euros, while the three C:62 carbon Attain models start at 1,699 euros and go up to 2,999 euros. Particularly noteworthy is that all three C:62 models include carbon wheels from the first setup, while the two higher models also add electronic shifting.

The entry point to the entire family combines an Aluminium Superlite frame and a completely carbon fork with a Shimano CUES 9-speed transmission.
