Colnago creates a unique hand-painted V5Rs to celebrate the UAE Team L’IMAD Tour

The UAE Team L’IMAD will close the 2026 Tour de France Femmes with a very special memory. Colnago has created a completely customized and hand-painted V5Rs to celebrate the Emirati team's victory in the team classification of this edition.

The bicycle is a unique piece made in collaboration with Italian illustrator Valentina Bongiovanni and is not dedicated to any particular rider. Colnago wanted it to represent precisely the collective character of the triumph, and once the race is finished, the entire team will leave their signature on it to turn it into a unique trophy.

To develop the decoration, Colnago started from the visual identity used by the UAE Team L’IMAD during this Tour de France Femmes. The central element is the falcon, the symbol chosen by the team for their campaign in the French race and around which practically the entire design revolves.

As the Italian brand explains, the animal represents qualities such as vision, leadership, courage, speed, and precision, values that on this occasion have also been used to represent the collective performance of the team.

Bongiovanni has translated this idea onto the frame with a finish deliberately distant from conventional decoration. The bicycle combines dynamic lines, textures made with spray paint, and strokes resembling graffiti and sketches, leaving the handcrafted character of the piece visible.

The result is a V5Rs that Colnago defines more as a trophy than as a special production edition. Only this unit exists and has been entirely hand-painted.

The artist responsible for the work, Valentina Bongiovanni, is an Italian illustrator based between Turin and Milan who has previously worked for brands and entities such as Corriere della Sera, Teatro alla Scala, Superga, or Lavazza. Among the recurring elements in her work are precisely mythological and fantastic animals.

The bicycle has accompanied the UAE Team L’IMAD on the signing podium before the last stage of the 2026 Tour de France Femmes in Nice, where the team will arrive with the team classification secured. Afterwards, it will be signed by the members of the formation to serve as a memory of the collective victory.
