Cinelli and Mike Giant bring cycling and street art together again with a collection featuring a bike limited to just 7 units

Cinelli recovers one of its most recognizable collaborations outside the traditional codes of cycling. The Milanese brand is once again working with illustrator, graffiti artist, and tattooist Mike Giant to present Cinelli Icons, a collection that revisits some of the historical designs and components of the brand through the artist's unique graphic language.

The collaboration includes clothing and accessories, but its most exclusive piece is a special edition of the Cinelli Tutto Mini, an urban steel bike with 20-inch wheels, of which only seven complete units will be manufactured for the entire world. Its price is 3,500 euros for the complete bike and 1,500 euros for the frameset.

The relationship between Cinelli and Mike Giant goes back a long way and is closely linked to the culture of track and fixie bikes, bike messengers, and urban art. From this connection, some of the most recognizable graphics of the Italian brand have emerged over the years.

For Cinelli Icons, Giant has directly drawn from the company's archive. The artist has gathered elements such as the legendary Laser frame, the 1A stem, the Unicanitor saddle, various fittings, the Bat handlebar, the Integralter, the RAM handlebars, and the original Cinelli handlebar tape.

All of them appear reinterpreted with his characteristic stroke and arranged following the composition of a tattoo flash sheet, the traditional sheets of designs that serve as a catalog in tattoo studios. In the center appears another of Mike Giant's usual motifs: a snake coiled around the well-known winged C of Cinelli.

“Mike Giant is an incredibly talented artist. He draws as Cinelli manufactures, all by hand and with passion and love for doing things with authenticity and integrity,” explains Victor Luis, president of Cinelli.

The Cinelli Tutto Mini becomes a collector's item

The bike is, by far, the most singular object of this new collaboration. Cinelli has used the Tutto Mini as a base, its compact urban bike with a steel frame, 20" wheels, adjustable dropouts, disc brakes, and various mounting points.

On it, Mike Giant has fully transferred the graphic universe of Cinelli Icons, turning the frame and fork into a canvas for a composition that mixes some of the most important pieces in the company's history.

Cinelli presents it within its Art Program and not simply as a specific decoration. The intention is to connect the industrial and design legacy of the Italian brand with Giant's visual language and with the urban cultures that have historically orbited around the brand.

Its production makes those aspirations of a collector's item quite clear. Only seven complete bikes will be sold, accompanied by a limited run of frames.

Very particular components for a 3,500 euro bike

Cinelli has also prepared a specific setup that deliberately strays from a conventional urban bike and incorporates influences from BMX and cruisers.

The Tutto Mini Cinelli Icons features White Industries 170 mm cranks with a 48-tooth chainring, singlespeed transmission with a 16-tooth cog, and mechanical disc brakes Paul Components Klamper, combined with Love Levers from the same brand.

The setup is completed with a 50 mm Paul Components Boxcar stem, White Industries headset, 20" wheels with aluminum rims, Maxxis Holy Roller 20x2.20 tires, Cinelli Volare saddle, and Tall Order The Catch pedals. The chosen handlebar is a Stay Strong Straight Cruiser Race measuring 5.75".

The complete edition costs 3,500 euros, while Cinelli offers the frameset for 1,500 euros.

The collection also includes a t-shirt and cap

For those who want to access the collaboration without reaching the exclusivity level of the bike, Cinelli has transferred the same design to two garments.

The Cinelli Icons Organic T-Shirt, made from 155 g/m² organic cotton and screen-printed in Italy, costs 60 euros. The Cinelli Icons Cotton Cycling Cap uses the brand's traditional Drifter Cap silhouette, is also screen-printed in Italy, and is priced at 45 euros.
