We already knew that after 12 years with Trek, Emily Batty had joined Canyon for a new project and we have just found out all the details. The new XCO-focused racing team will be made up of Canadian riders Emily Batty (32) and Laurie Arsenault (23). The team is completed by Simon Willians, team manager, and Adam Morka, coach and husband of Emily.

Canyon MTB Racing team’s planned schedule includes an entire World Cup series, the XCO World Championships in Val di Sole, and the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

I wanted partners that are aligned with our vision and our initiatives.”“Our program sets me up for my next chapter in the sport, and my performance will play a significant role in moving forward.” Emily Batty said.

Her teammate Laurie Arsenault is very optimistic before her first senior season: ”It's a dream to be on a team like this one, and it's a great opportunity for me to learn from the best and with the best. I remember watching Emily at the Olympics and getting her first national title, and she was someone I wanted to be like. I'm just so excited!"

Team Canyon MTB Racing will contest its first race at Bike the Rock on 24 April. Celebrating its 20th edition in 2021.
