Henrique Avancini's Scalpel HT for the XCO World Cup Albstadt 2022

The Albstadt XCO World Cup is one of the few events where the majority of riders choose a hardtail MTB over a full suspension.

And Brazil's Henrique Avancini, the last time he raced a hardtail was 4 years ago, has finally opted to race the new Cannondale Scalpel HT for this 2022 edition.

The Albstadt course is perfect for the Scalpel HT.

Avancini chooses a hardtail to race 4 years later

The Cannondale Scalpel HT was introduced in late 2021 as a new generation hardtail MTB. Its modern geometry combines well with the stiffness and power transmission it offers. A perfect bike for a less technical course like Albstadt.

Frame weighs only 895 g in size M
The insertion of the seat stays under the saddle improves lateral stiffness and vertical absorption. This solution is inherited from other Cannondale road and gravel models.

The shape of the chainstays helps to avoid impacts and looks similar to the FlexPivot system used on the Scalpel full suspension.
4 years later, the Scalpel HT has convinced Avancini to race with a hardtail.
