You bring the fan and the roller, Zwift brings the updates
The virtual platform Zwift has just introduced two important updates for the summer of 2025. Both have been designed to improve the user experience and optimize performance tracking and will arrive in two phases. Starting today, July 2, the new Fitness Trends feature is already available, while on July 15, the improvements to the configurable HUD (on-screen data panel) will be activated.
Zwift adds important updates for the summer
Although it may not be the favorite of many cyclists, indoor training is important both on cold and rainy winter days and in the increasingly frequent episodes of extreme heat in summer. In that sense, Zwift will continue to be the preferred platform for those who choose the roller in summer, and it comes with news.
Fitness Trends: your evolution, at a glance
The Fitness Trends feature is integrated today in the Zwift Companion app and allows users to track the evolution of their fitness level in more detail. By accessing the "Goals" and "Fitness Tracking" blocks on the home screen, Zwifters can view different graphs with their historical training data.

In addition, all graphs can be filtered by time periods, making for a clear and tailored reading to each user's needs.
New configurable HUD: more metrics, more control
Starting on July 15, Zwift will update the HUD (Head-Up Display) allowing to display more real-time metrics during sessions. Among the most requested fields that will now be available are average speed and average watts, along with other more advanced metrics.
One of the great novelties is the possibility of displaying left/right power balance for those using dual power meters.
In addition, Zwift has partnered with CORE Body Temp to integrate thermal tracking into the HUD. Thanks to this collaboration, users training with a CORE sensor will be able to view their body temperature and heat stress index (CORE HSI), two key metrics especially in high-temperature workouts.
New metrics available in the HUD:
- Average speed: average pace of the session.
- Average watts/kg: power relative to body weight.
- CORE temperature: monitor your temperature to prevent overheating.
- CORE HSI: measures your body's thermal effort to self-regulate.
- L/R balance: shows pedaling symmetry to optimize efficiency.
- Splits: ideal for tracking progress lap by lap.
- These new features allow Zwifters to have a more comprehensive view of their performance and adapt their training more precisely.
With this new update, Zwift reinforces its commitment to combining precise data, entertainment, and community to remain at the forefront of virtual training.
