The French company RAR manufactures road wheels with an inconceivable weight. Specifically, the version with 24 mm rims for tubular leaves the scale at an incredible 795 g. and the 40 mm version for tubular also drops below a kilogram at 920 g as well as the 24 mm version for tubeless which leaves the scale at 980 g. Only the 40 mm option for tubeless exceeds a kilogram, reaching a notable 1,050 g. These wheels will cost a significant 4,499 euros.

Despite their enormous lightness, the brand provides a 5-year warranty, fully confident in its virtues, although it should be noted that there is a weight limit of 100 kg for bike + rider.

To achieve this spectacular result, RAR has used spectacular titanium and carbon spokes, which, according to the brand, allow them to be finely tuned to the maximum while being 300% more resistant than the best stainless steel spokes. In addition to the spokes, RAR has carried out a deep redesign of its hubs, which, of course, are equipped with ceramic bearings; and of the carbon fiber rims where work has been done to determine the points of highest stress to reinforce them while removing material where it was not so necessary.
