Van Rysel prepares to enter the World Tour with RCR cycling shoes
Following the official announcement of Decathlon's return to the top level of road cycling after decades of absence, just as it has been doing in recent years in mountain biking, a discipline that has helped it to create and develop a magnificent XC full mountain bike that will presumably reach the market at the beginning of next season.

In the same way, Decathlon wants its road bikes to shake off the stigma of "supermarket bikes" by creating fully competitive models that will be used and evolved by the French AG2R or Cofidis team riders already used at the beginning of the 21st century.
In addition to the bikes, Decathlon's sponsorship of the French team also seems to include equipment. A good example of this is that some AG2R riders, such as Frenchman Nans Peters, have been wearing the new RCR cycling shoes since the Tour de France, a preview of which was seen at the Velofollies show held in the Belgian city of Kortrij at the beginning of the year, the same place where their new range of road bikes was previewed and is now available both in their extensive network of stores and through their website.
We have little data on these new Van Rysel RCR shoes. What we have been able to deduce from the images published as are its conventional design with tongue and an upper of a microfiber that gives the appearance of thin and very light.
Particularly noteworthy is the use of two cable closures from Habu, a brand that has licensed the use of Boa technology, so we can have full confidence in their reliability and performance. In fact, like the Boa closures, the Habu closures are also guaranteed for the lifetime of the shoe.
Also seen in the images published a generous plastic reinforcement in the heel area and have a solid carbon sole that integrates with the rear resin that completely surrounds the heel to give maximum support to the area. These shoes are now available on the Decathlon website in sizes 36 to 47 and at the unbeatable price of €169.99 for cycling shoes of this level.
