UAE secures Isaac del Toro until 2031
Isaac del Toro will continue wearing the colors of UAE Team Emirates-XRG for many more years. The Emirati team has announced the renewal of the Mexican until the end of the 2031 season, ensuring the continuity of one of the great talents of the international peloton after the best campaign of his career.
Isaac del Toro renews with UAE Team Emirates-XRG until 2031 and puts an end to rumors about his future
The contract extension comes after several weeks of speculation about his future. Various rumors suggested that Del Toro preferred not to sit down to negotiate a renewal until he knew what would happen with the future of Paul Seixas, one of the great promises of French cycling and for whom UAE Team Emirates-XRG had shown interest. With this agreement now signed, it is unclear whether those reports were ever really true or if, simply, the possible signing of Seixas will not happen after all, at least with the Emirati team.

At just 22 years old, Del Toro has become a strategic piece for the UAE project. Since he joined the team after winning the Tour de l'Avenir in 2023, his progression has been constant, establishing himself as one of the most promising riders for the grand tours.

The 2026 season has marked his true explosion. The Mexican made the podium, finishing third, in the Tour de France, where he also achieved his first stage victory and won the young riders' classification. He added prestigious victories in the UAE Tour, Tirreno-Adriático, and Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, confirming that he is already part of the elite of world cycling.
With this renewal, UAE Team Emirates-XRG secures one of the riders expected to lead the team over the next decade, strengthening a roster that already includes some of the biggest stars of the peloton.

In the official statement, Del Toro expressed his satisfaction with continuing to be linked to the team:
"I am very happy to continue this journey with UAE Team Emirates-XRG. From the moment I arrived, everyone has believed in me and provided the best environment for me to develop both as a rider and as a person. Every season I learn something new from my teammates and from all the people who work in the team, and I feel that I am constantly improving.
This team is like my home. We share the same ambition, the same passion for competition, and the same desire to keep growing. Signing a long-term contract gives me a lot of confidence because I know I am in the right place for my future. We have already achieved great victories together, but I honestly believe that the best is yet to come. I am excited to continue growing with this team and to fight for the most important races in the world."
